Our software engineer Sakai presented an invited lecture at “Supercomputing Japan 2025”.

Our software engineer, Mr. Sakai, presented an invited lecture on the second day of the event at “Supercomputing Japan 2025” held at Tower Hall Funabori from February 3 to 4, 2025.

The title of his lecture is “Acceleration of Human Genome Analysis with the Many-Core Processor PEZY-SC3 and Outlook for the PEZY-SC Series”[1].

Materials used in the lecture can be downloaded here[2].

In his presentation, he introduced the mechanism of speed-up in ZettaVEGA, a high-speed human genome analysis system developed by our company. He also introduced cases of large-scale human genome analysis using ZettaVEGA. In addition, he announced the performance of our next generation processor PEZY-SC4s, scheduled for release in 2025.

ZettaScaler-4.0, using the PEZY-SC4s processor, doubles the current speed of human genome analysis, It is capable of high-speed learning and inference of deep learning. A lot of computing power is required to perform highly accurate analysis quickly. We expect that our proprietary processors[3], which are power efficient and have high processing performance, will continue to have an important role in the field of computational science.
